Bringing Home the Bacon - Part Deux

I reported, quite a while back, that the husband had found a job. You may have noticed that I haven't commented on said job. That is because, although he was told he got the job, he hadn't started yet. Waiting, waiting, waiting on the background check. Then more waiting on paperwork. In the midst of all this waiting, someone called him for an interview.

Wednesday was the phone interview. They liked him and wanted him that same week to meet with the controller and the CFO. That same day, the City job finally came through and told him they were ready for him to start. He didn't want to upset the city, but he didn't want to pass up the possibility of perhaps something better. So, he told the city that he would like to wait until Monday to start (keep in mind, no paperwork has been signed at this point). He informed Job B that if they interviewed him as planned on Friday, he needed a decision immediately.

The interview transpired this morning at 9 am. Three hours later, he finished. Two minutes later, he was told the job was his if he chose to accept it.

The pay is better. The benefits are better (as in, there are benefits). The vacation package is better, as the company is based in France, and the French do not believe that two weeks is enough.

Jaycel is excited, and scared, as the company is different from what he is used to. But the companies that he has been used to haven't been great. Just comfortable. Comfortable mediocrity.

So I am excited. Anyone want to go shopping? :)

Current Mood: Happy happy happy

My launchcast station chooses what I listen to. Although, if I am being honest, I do like her spanish stuff.

Did you forget my Cuban heritage J? :)

And yes, Lori, if we relocate to France, we will adopt you.

Of course, I am vying for the Italy branch if relocation comes up :)
